Tomas Kral (b.1979) graduated from Ecole cantonale d'art de Lausanne, where he received a Masters degree both in Industrial Design and in Luxury Design, before established his studio in Lausanne in 2008. His approach to design is characterised by a preoccupation with fusing traditional materials with new technologies in order to produce objects with unexpected ideas, humour and freshness. His range of work has received several awards including the Swiss Federal Design Award in March 2010.
