Emerging designer Julie Richoz creates objects that exhibit a playful simplicity but are rigorously executed. Having graduated in Industrial Design at ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne, in 2012 she won the prestigious Grand Prix du Jury at Design Parade 7 organized by the Villa Noailles in Hyères. She has worked with clients including Alessi, Nestlé and Sèvres and has participated in exhibitions across Europe and Asia.
Through her kinetic 'Armand' series, Richoz explores "the soft focus phenomenon" - or the vibratory effect of layering finely cut colourful paper.
