Newly appointed Stanley Picker Fellow Fabien Cappello will introduce his wider practice and ideas for his Fellowship research in an upcoming joint lecture with artist Laura Oldfield Ford.
Cappello will be considering the immediate and wider geographic location of the Stanley Picker Gallery in his research, focusing on the public realm and using a series of case-studies representing different scales and definitions of what 'Made In London' might mean. As Cappello says, "What does 'made locally' mean when it is about the production of our built environment? And how, as a designer, do I intervene in or activate that process?"
