The French Institute of Cologne and Villa Noailles, Hyères, will present the work of Julie Richoz as part of the Passages Festival, Cologne. Richoz's project 'Armand' - exhibited by Gallery Libby Sellers during Design Miami/Basel 2013 - will be on display and the designer will be present throughout the event.
Having graduated in Industrial Design at ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne, in 2012 Richoz won the prestigious Grand Prix du Jury at Design Parade 7 organized by the Villa Noailles in Hyères. She has worked with clients including Alessi, Nestlé and Sèvres and has participated in exhibitions across Europe and Asia.
Through her kinetic 'Armand' series, Richoz explores "the soft focus phenomenon" - or the vibratory effect of layering finely cut colourful paper.
