The scenography for the 2014 Design Museum's Designs of the Year exhibition was conceived by design duo Hunting & Narud.
Faced with the challenge of bringing conherence and clarity to a diverse series of nominations from an equally diverse series of industries (architecture, digital, fashion, furniture, graphics, product and transport), the Norwegian-born, London-based Hunting & Narud focussed on creating clear communication systems and visual cues. Working with the graphic studio OK-RM, the designers allocated each of the 76 projects its own plywood stand, stage or wall panel and supplied slogan-like conversational one liners to deftly identify why the project was deemed important.
