Moritz Waldemeyer has taken part in the Wallpaper* Handmade travelling exhibition which made its London debut in the windows of Harrods.
The exhibition organised by leading design magazine Wallpaper*, in collaboration with British car manufacturer Jaguar, is dedicated to craftsmanship and design. Waldemeyer presented 'Revolution', a lighting installation comprising five lampshade forms mounted on rotating tubes and punctuated by three-dimensional lines. These were combined to form a unified body, illuminated by thousands of LEDs. Taking inspiration from his passion in cars, Waldemeyer incorporated core elements of automobile design to the shades, paying homage to what he describes as the "forgotten beauty of a mechanical core."
