The Denver Art Museum, Colorado USA has acquired a series of vessels and maquettes from Formafantasma's acclaimed 'Botanica' series.
The series, originally commissioned by the Plart Foundation in Italy, reflects Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin's research and experimentation into natural polymers extracted from plants or animal-derivatives. By revealing the tactile and aesthetic qualities of these forgotten materials, the project offers a new path to mass produced plasticity and to a post-industrial aesthetic.
