The Barbican 'Digital Revolutions' exhibition has included Daniel Brown's experimental website Noodlebox in its Digital-Archaeology section. Curated by Jim Boulton and Sunny Cheung, the show explores and celebrates the transformation of the arts through digital technology through a selection of 100 iconic items taken from fifty years of digital art, design and entertainment.
Brown originally designed Noodlebox in 1997 as a series of interactive experiments, which featured a landscape of building blocks inspired by 1980s computer games. It has since been acquired by the San Fransisco MOMA and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
