The Art Institute of Chicago has acquired Formafantasma's series 'Botanica' for its permanent collection. Originally commissioned by the Plart Foundation, 'Botanica' explores the tactile qualities and technical potential of preindustrial resins. The series will be on display at the Art Institute's exhibition 'Rethinking Typologies: Architecture and Design from the Permanent Collection' between March 3rd - July 29th 2012.
