In 1882, the Johnson Brothers began producing ceramics in Stoke-on-Trent, England - 130 years later, they are continuing the legacy by collaborating with designers including Max Lamb for this year's London Design Festival. 'Bone China' for 1882 Ltd. will showcase works of crockery by Lamb, plates by Emily Johnson and an inaugural collection of bowls and eggcups titled 'Aspirals' by Suzanne Trocmé.
The crockery created by Lamb is crafted from fine bone china and cast from plaster moulds hand-carved by Lamb himself using traditional stonemasonry tools.
