"Irresistible, respectable: Formafantasma, from Biedermeier bourgeois to future present" is how DAMn Magazine summarises Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin's recent solo exhibition 'The Stranger Within' at the MAK Museum, Vienna. "Studio Formafantasma had their work cut out. Accepting an invitation to appropriate the interior of the impressive Geymüllerschlössel in Vienna, thereby taking into account the plethora of riches on hand and proffering a presentation in response to all that they viewed and otherwise sensed in such a setting, was no mean feat. The idea is to gaze inward and to heed the past in order to find inspiration for the future", says Thomas Geisler, the Curator of the Design Collection at the MAK.
The exhibition can be viewed until December 1st, 2013.
