In Disegno No.6 Kristina Rapacki interviews Julia Lohmann on her pioneering work with seaweed, a design material which became a key subject to her 2013 residency at the V&A Museum. "I was so fascinated with how kelp becomes big and leathery, really beautiful, when its wet and then has such a different character when it dries", Lohmann explains.
