Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin of Studio Formafantasma speak about their recent lava-based series of works with Jane Szita for Frame Magazine. As Trimarchi is quoted in the article saying, "Lava is a cheap, accessible but sadly underrated material. We can do a lot more with it." For De Natura Fossilium - a body of works produced for Gallery Libby Sellers and launched in Milan in Spring 2014 - Formafantasma followed their material studies through a wide range of textiles, furniture pieces and glass objects. The project was accompanied by a stunning series of images by Luisa Zanzani.
