Caroline Ligre, AD Paris, September 1, 2014
In her article for AD Intérieurs, Caroline Ligre discusses Sévres' rich tradition of fine craftsmanship and exquisite objects, all of which date back to the eighteenth century. Through the creation of the Cite de la Ceramic, the goal is to produce a national centre for ceramics and all fired art forms. In doing so, Sévres can pass down this time-honoured knowledge of technique and beauty to the contemporary designers with which they collaborate, including the Dutch designer Aldo Bakker.
